error updating meta data

[Sharkslayer]

getting the following when updating/editing metadata. Have given full control to the share for all accounts so i don't see why i am getting a permission error. Don't know what program could be open that would be using it.
The data base is on a external drive attached to a different pc, on the same network, with full share access. database pc is running win8 enterprise App pc is running win 7 enterprise. Can do all types of folder/file manipulation on the network mapped share on the app pc.
