Memory Error - Unhandled Exception

hi there. while searching for a specific author i get a MemoryError window. it reads :

calibre, version 0.9.25
ERROR: Unhandled exception: <b>MemoryError</b>:

Traceback (most recent call last):

then when i hit ok i get a calibre has stopped working window . when i click on check to see if windows can fix this ( something like that. it sends info to MS, but i dont) i get the following

C:\Users\Crazyfrank\AppData\Local\Temp\WER4136.tmp .WERInternalMetadata.xml
C:\Users\Crazyfrank\AppData\Local\Temp\WER6682.tmp .appcompat.txt
C:\Users\Crazyfrank\AppData\Local\Temp\WER66D1.tmp .mdmp

i have upgraded from calibre 9.23 because it was problematic, rebooted 3 times cleared out all caches. i checked the integrity. i do have dups that i havent removed yet. i did a format:false and removed 24 books.. is it a DRM problem?? im at a loss. i love the program, but it taken me 3 hours to upload 10 books. any help would be appreciated

A memory error means your computer is running out of RAM. Nothing calibre can do about that.

you would think that 16gb of memory could handle anything.

If you're running the 32 bit version then only 3GB is addressable.

out of 16351mb it shows i have 12850 free left...im running 64 bit

Are you using the 64bit version of Calibre?

dum da dum dum dum.......sometimes you cant see the forest for the trees.... well i uninstalled my calibre. downloaded and installed 64 bit... gee, imagine that, its a lot faster. i searched for books like i did earlier and calibre found them very fast. everything is great again. i feel a donation heading your way.

SOOOOO... moral of the story must be to use the right program??
