Calibre doesn't recognize Kindle 3 in MS Virtual PC
I have Windows 7 with Virtual PC. I have virtual machine running Windows XP with Calibre. Calibre doesn't recognize Kindle 3. In host OS Windows 7 I can see removable drive and in device manager there is Kindle under Portable Devices tree. I mapped removable drive to guest OS Windows XP, but it is not enough. I can't see Kindle Portable Device in device manager of guest Windows XP. How can I solve this problem? Any suggestions?
Thanky you very much. |

I found the solution. I had Microsoft Virtual PC under Windows 7 host. I uninstalled it and installed Windows Virtual PC (Microsoft VPC -> Windows VPC) with Integration Features. After that I released Kindle in host Windows 7 and attached it under Windows Virtual PC's (Windows XP guest system). Now it works as I expected.
