Cannot open or convert certain AZW3 books

This has happened off and on for maybe the last month or so. It doesn't happen with all AZW3 books and I can't find a common cause. But then, I'm not technically minded Here's what I got when I tried to open "The Time Hunters and the Spear of Fate:"

If you need what it said when I tried to convert it, let me know and I'll supply that. I don't update Calibre regularly as I only have dialup and it takes awhile.

Your version of calibre is very old. Update to the current release and your errors will go away.

yes, I realized after I posted that I should have first tried downloading the latest version. I didn't realize my version is as old as it is as up until recently it has done everything I wanted
