Mantano Reader Install question

I have read this thread in the Entourage Edge forum

which is more specific to the Entourage Edge but am wondering whether the problem may be something else as I have already had Mantano Prem v2.0.3 loaded and running. I then decided to upgrade to v2.2.12 and encountered the failed install problem. I then uninstalled the earlier version (and also removed the app files that were left behind by the uninstall) and am not able to re-install the v2.0.3. Could it be that Mantano has installed some config or other files in the Android system that is preventing a successful installation? If so, where would I look and how can I identify them?
