Kindle freezes

Hi, my kindle recently after connecting to PC with broken USB cable have strange behavior.
I am unable to read any book, because it freezes after 15 secs(max is one minute) and I must suffer to reboot it to same condition as before(hanging after max 30 sec. etc.) even tried reseting to factory defaults, but it didn't work.

Most time although I am able to connect it trough the usb and transfer files.
I tried it to scan with scandisk, it detected nothing.

What to do?

Get a known good cable, a wall charger, re-charge the battery for at least 20 hours.
