Unable to import or export books
Hey,
I have been using Calibre for long time and never had problem with it. I recently got a new laptop and now I have difficulties with the last version of Calibre - 0.9.19: -every single time when I try to import a new e-book or a pdf/text file that i want to convert i got this mistake: Quote:

Check the Read-Write (and ownership) permissions on your Library Folder and all files contained within). Note, If you restored (transfered) by CD/DVD all files default to Read Only. You need to set that right with Explorer.

That's a disk I/O error writing to the calibre database. Either your disk is failing or you've got some security/antivirus program that is interfering with calibre when it tries to write to its database.
