Interesting eInk concept

Nifty! I'd buy one, except at that price I'd prefer to be able to load tons of books onto it too. Maybe I'll look at version 2.

No way I'd pay that much. Not even the original $99. It's a watch with less features them my Timex digital for a lot more money. Plus, it looks like a girl's bracelet. Very poor design (IMHO). They need to make one in a man's style.

Why, I have to change the battery on my old-fashioned LCD watch at least... every three or four years!

I don't see this as something that will catch on.

Limited visibility in low lights without a lighting source would make it pretty useless as well.

Good point there. Nowadays I don't even wear a watch, I just carry my cell phone.

I've got a Citizen watch with a photovoltaic background that lasts forever (and glows in he dark), so this makes no sense.
Motorola tried E-Ink as a cellphone display some years ago, but never seen a v2 ofthis model

No. it's a segmented eInk display, like a watch's LCD display, not a pixel-grid display like the eInk screen on an ebook reader.

As a first try, it's pretty interesting. I'd like to see if they can refine/diversify the concept.

My battery powered analog dial watch gets a little more than a year per battery and cost me $11. I'd assume there would be some way to get a reasonable lifespan out of a non-rechargeable battery and get a little more creative with the display.

It could be interesting.
