K4 Mac or PC How to view one page at a time on Kindle for iPad?

I downloaded Kindle for iPad and today bought my first book. But it shows 2 pages at a time on the screen and I want to change it to 1 page. Could someone kindly tell me how to do this, as I can't work it out.

It does that in landscape. Change your iPad's orientation to portrait.

I don't have my iPad handy, but Kindle for Android has an option to toggle between 1 and 2 columns when in landscape. I'd be surprised if iPad didn't have the same, but I really haven't used the Kindle app on it very much so I don't have a clear picture of what the settings look like. I don't think I could tolerate reading 1 wide column in landscape myself.

Touch somewhere on the screen to bring up the top menu, then press the 'Aa' button.
The options that appear are (in order going down the screen)
- Brightness
- Font size
- Font family
- Colour scheme
- Margin size
- Single or double column layout (this only appears in landscape mode)

Thank you kind people for replying to my question. Actually purely by accident I held the iPad upright (portrait mode) and the text reverted to 1 column. I should have know that!!
