Ian Fleming's James Bond books $1.99 ea (US/Amazon)

All of Ian Fleming's Bond books put out by Amazon imprint Thomas & Mercer are onnly $1.99 each right now (at least for US customers). I don't think their rights cover the UK, but IIRC they were "North American Rights" so Canadian's may get the lowered pricing.

I have waited patiently for these to hit this price. I picked up Casino Royale and Live and Let Die when those were $2 months and months ago, but they had the plain covers with Ian Fleming. Weird that they changed the covers, but the ones I bought previously were not updated in my Kindle App. Granted I will put whatever covers I want on them in Calibre.

That's a shame, $1.99 is an awesome deal....I'm one that loves the covers for some reason...although there is something to be said about the Penguin <?> covers of the paperbacks that were very cool.

I think since I've gotten my Kindle Paperwhite, I've spent more money on eBooks in the last 4 days than I have in the past LOL. I never did that with Nook, but damn you Amazon for making it way too easy to just "click, click, click" and there goes my wallet!

The "12 Days of Kindle" sale they're currently running in the UK is a real killer for me. Bought 13 books today alone. Almost all at 99p, but it does add up!

This was a nice belated Christmas gift for hubby! Thank you (again) AnemicOak for pointing the sale out.

I'm interested in reading them as well, since I love James Bond, but hubby thinks they might be a bit too "gritty" (as he put it) for me.

Any thoughts??

I'm with you there. I replaced the current covers with the Penguin paperback covers. I thought they were fantastic.
