Waterproof case for a Kindle 3 (keyboard)

Anyone got any recommendations for a waterproof case for a Kindle 3 that's available in the UK please?

Looking for something a bit less utilitarian :-)

I don't have any personal experience with these two products, but I found them on Amazon.co.uk. Hopefully they might be what you're looking for.

I once accidentally ran my Kindle Keyboard through the wash, and it was the heavy duty 59-minute cycle.

The screen cracked, presumably from the force of the spin. But, aside from that, it still worked perfectly. So I personally wouldn't worry too much about your, almost always, nice gentle British rain.

Of course, just because one Kindle survived immersion doesn't mean they all would.

That is a good one. Comes in boxes of 20+ waterproof cases for real cheap.

It might be a short term excellent solution if you are on vacation at the beach - prevents water and sand.

Seriously, don't knock it. I put my Kindle Keyboard in a Ziploc bag when reading in the bath tub and on the beach/pool. Easily available, cheap and excellent protection.

I was serious in the second part. Only the first part was meant as a joke.

Since my nice expensive waterproof iPad bag got a tear in its seam I've been using double-bagged Ziplocks for my baths. The Kindle 3 is too big for a quart so when I used that I put it in the gallon size. (The Paperwhite is perfect for quart size if you remove the cover).

Either way, that then can go in another gallon size if you want to double-bag it. With the Paperwhite I do it so the zipper's on the top edge in case I get lazy and dunk it... Works great!

I had one with 3 zips that fold, part of it tore, so I cut of two of the plastic zips, and just use 1 zip. Then I tried it with a psp after the K3 - u can play some games, JUST - then I tried an archos 5 with touch screen, and that worked. A little part of it was breaking at the side of the zip so I put some cello-tape on it.

I now use it with my Cowon flac player, which also can read ebooks, and you can use custom fonts.

And my 2nd Kindle has moved from the bath back to the car!
