Calibre does not work with MTP devices on XP. You need Vista or later for MTP support to work with Calibre

I was afraid you were going to say that. I like XP. Do you have any recommendations for the best alternative? I already have my library in Dropbox, I use it to get books onto my iPod Touch.

If I download the .mobi file from Dropbox and then move it to the books folder it shows up in Books. Not pretty, but it works wirelessly.
