Ever since NOOK glow I've wanted one like it. As I live in the EU area NOOK's are out. And now in the span of a few months there's a lot of them with similar or even better screens. I didn't include paperwhite because it doesn't accept microSD cards. That, and there's been a lot of problems with it's screens. As I'm ordering online in any case, I want a device that I won't have to return too many times by mail.

This isn't going to be my first e-reader as I have a sony-T1 that works perfectly well for me. I use calibre to maintain my library. I'm not very good with it, but I can do some. As I also store some of the fan fiction in addition of the actual books I own, I have currently about 1100 files. And I'm adding to that all the time. I don't read PDF's on my e-reader. So the things I'm looking for are:

1. Stability & speed

I've had some crashes on my sony. I'd like there to be less of them. or at least not more. And before the firmware update, page turns could be unpredictable. Are there these kinds of troubles in of these devices?

2. File management

I've used tags on calibre to sort my huge collections in addition to using book name changes to add some folder like quality to my sorting. How difficult is the transition going to be with any of those 3 devices listed?

3. Margins and line spacing

I know the Kobo does this and Bookeen doesn't. I haven't been able to find out about the Firefly? I've changed margins on calibre for my sony. How does this affect the handling?

4. Screen quality

Is there any actual difference? I'm fairly sure Firefly & kobo have IR while bookeen doesn't. Does that actually cause any differences, in looks or durability? And how much difference is there in the inbuilt light quality?

5. Dictionaries

I'd like to have an English-English one. As I only read in English, that's the one language I'd like to have some support in. While I'd like to think that my English is fairly good, every now and then there are words I don't know. And as I don't always have access to WiFi an inbuilt dictionary like the one I have on my sony would be good.

6. Overall quality

I've read that some Bookeen devices have had usb problems and both kobo and bookeen have had some trouble with microSD cards. I'd like to be aware of all of the possible problems before I can decide which of those annoys me the least.

I know I won't be able to buy a perfect device, but I'd like to have as much information as I can have before I decide which faults I can live with.
