K3 not connecting to 3G
Hi all, not sure is this is the right place to post but, I have a Kindle Keyboard 3G, I bought it second hand, when I turn on the Wi-Fi and try to get the 3G connected it will not connect, I have tried manually changing providers, and in the 611 page it will say the network name but under status it says "limited service". I'm thinking Amazon has barred this K3.

Contact Amazon customer service and ask them. But, assuming you've successfully registered the Kindle, it's unlikely that it's blacklisted. You can't register a blacklisted device.

When I try to register via Wi-Fi it says, your kindle is unable to connect?

Might be a problem with your wifi network, or a blacklisted device. Try activating it from a computer on your manage your kindle page. If it doesn't work there you bought an expensive paperweight. Or you can use it unregistered with limited features.

Oh if it is blacklisted, you might wan't to raise hell with the seller. And return it if that is an option. It is possible that you bought stolen property - so you need to decide if you want to involve local authorities or not. It would still be technically Amazons Kindle, and they might be able to salvage some of it - they more than likely replaced it and wrote it off as a loss.

You can't. You used to be able to, but not any more. Has to be done via WiFI/3G now. You REALLY need to contact Kindle Customer Service - they are the only ones who can help you.
