Folder names question
I see that many folders in my Calibre library folder have the author names in two formats, such as:
Gaiman, Neil and some have the form: Gaiman_ Neil Calibre seems to list and sort everything correctly regardless of which folder the books are in, so this is a question that has no practical application, but I'd just like to know why. This is in Mac OS X, don't know if it happens in Windows or Linux. Mike |

The two names happen because of a calibre bug fix many versions ago. At one point commas were turned into underscores. That was fixed.
The quality check plugin can fix these. Use Fix -> Check & rename book paths. |

OK, thanks. I had that plugin installed, but never used it. Worked fine.
Of course, now I've noticed that many of the folders have underscores instead of periods in the authors initials, which this plugin doesn't seem to be able to fix. Oh, well. It's nice to clean some of it up. |
