Troubleshooting Semi Bricked Kindle touch

Hi,
i have an unlocked kindle touch 3g, with hackedupreader and a lot of other stuff.
The problem is that the home screen doesnt refresh when i put books trought usb or even when i download them from kindle store. Sometimes it refresh every a week or more. Since i have xterm i have also tried the command to manually refresh it, but it was unsuccesfull.

Should i try to debrick it, or there is too risk compared to the actual problem? Any suggest for what to try?
