Hi bolimc and welcome to the Forum. Have you checked out the Fictionwise site (http://www.fictionwise.com)? They carry books in the Sony Format. I have a 505 and have bought books from them

Ok, can of worms opened.

First, welcome to the form.

Second... The price difference isn't really that great. Less than $100 or so. And, if you only bought books from the Sony store or the Kindle store you will quickly recover that money, especially if you like best sellers.

That said "worth" is really subjective in this case. This topic exists in many threads in the "Which should I buy" forum. I suggest you visit there... and people can friendly welcome you here.

Each has different strengths, and weaknesses.

I like the built in dictionary, wireless downloads and all around feel of the Kindle.

Hi Garbriella and welcome to the Forum. Sound advice there from desertgrandma. I've had a Sony 505 for a year now and like it a lot. But have also had my hands on a Kindle and like that as well.
