Kobo Website won't stay logged in

since another change at the kobo website (the login page has changed), I am now logged out each time I close my browser (Chrome)

Anyone else have to re log into the website after closing down your browser?

I am using a kobo log in, not a facebook one

Tried deleting all kobo cookies but this hasn't made any difference

I would guess something browser specific. I seem to stay logged in.

I have just looked at the cookie that kobo put on my computer, it is set to expire when the browser is closed
doesn't affect any other sites just kobo so unsure if this is a local issue

i'm using firefox and opera and have the same problem...it wont stay log in in either of them...

for those that have it working, don't log out of your account

I have been speaking to kobo and this is deliberate, it's for security reasons

I stay logged in. When I first land on the Kobo.com page, I have the "sign in" option. When I click on the link to any of the pages, though, that switches to "sign out" so the site does remember me and I don't actually have to log in again. I've noticed this with both Chrome and Firefox.

I do not like the new security nonsense! Yuk!! What security anyway? Can't they keep you logged in but ask for your password again when you want to buy a book, or download a DRM version of a book you already bought? The current settings make me see the Dutch kobo site (I'm in The Netherlands) and I have to log in (with a UK account) to get to see English new releases. Ugh. Hassle.

I'm logged out, using Safari on a Mac.

it is very annoying

kobo did say yesterday that it works for them with Chrome (should be the same for Safari as they are similar)

I asked them how they get it to work and they are now ignoring me (or are very busy, previously they replied very quickly)

Not sure if Kobo have had a lot of people complaining about this, but it now seems to be fixed for me, I seem to stay loged in even after restarting the browser

Yeah, I noticed that today also. I don't have to log-in every time.
