You were successful in replacing Kindle's rc.lua?
Some days ago I tried to replace, but failed. Maybe I gave up too early?

Still on the TODO pile. got caught up in getting X to the 3.

RSN I will have another play.

My vision was more a "forked upstart" that would allow boot to DIAGS / window manager of your choice / original flavour.

And similar on the 3.
