Kobo touch new sign up offer

I just got my first reader, kobo touch. I downloaded the android app on my phone as well and found out that if I sign up I get 2 free ebooks. Should I sign up from the app or should I create an account from the website?
I created a new account with my other email, one of it counts as already registered after signing in with facebook on Readers Hub (Samsung) and got 2 books: Pride and Prejudice and Taming your inner online menace (I guess they are free any way)

I had a surprise with the reader though, I thought that is quilted silver, but is quilted pearl, a warm white (exactly like a pearl) couldn't find it on the kobo website, everyone talks about blue lilac and silver...
