Add metadata to book sometimes

Hi,

My wife prefers the metadata to be available within the ebook as she misses having the back cover blurb to check. I don't like it.

Is there any way of having this inserted on-the-fly when sending books to certain devices / emailing to certain devices?

Or do I just have to insert in them all and page forwards myself

No, there's no way to do that.

You could try to convince your wife to use the catalog feature instead.

She'll have to go out of the book to read the blurb, but a plus is that it's easy to read about more than one book (if she's uncertain about what to read next for instance).

Nah, its reading about the book she's reading/about to read. So looks like I'll have to stick metadata in them all and dodge over it myself

You can insert the metadata, send the book to your wife and then delete that file and re-convert without the metadata. An admittedly painful procedure.

If you are using epubs take a look at epub modify plugin. You can use it to add metadata jacket send and then use it again to delete the metadata jacket. No need to convert it again etc.
