Problem Sync with Ez PDF and Google Drive

I am trying to understand how to set up a smart workflow among my devices for PDF documents:

My Calibre library collects all my documents on my Mac. The library folder is in my Google Drive folder that automatically syncs every time I add something. I then installed on my Nexus 7 the Google Drive app, which contains a nice feature for searching your documents on the cloud (search is not available either in DropBox or SugarSync).

So far so good.

When I open and edit and close a PDF with Ez PDF, my notes or highlight are not saved! That's strange becase Ez PDF ask me if I want to save the document. But when I reopen the same document in my offline folder in the Google Drive app the document is exactly as when first downloaded and all the highlights are lost.
