Touch Changing font size affects table of contents

Using the latest version of the Touch firmware, when I change the font size of a book it does odd things to the table of contents. After changing font size there are two entries for each item in the ToC, one is light grey and unselectable, the other is the regular grey which you can select. Also, when trying to go to the next chapter I am unable to and have to go back to the ToC to select the next chapter.

Has anyone encountered this and found a fix for it, not a work-around?

Some of My books have now got double chapters. Both versions open but when I have read to the end of the chapter and turn the page I go back to the start of the book. Drove me mad! I didn't find a fix and topped reading the book which was annoying as I paid for it from Kobo. When I have a moment I'll try deleting it from the KT and hope it downloads again. The Kobo app on the iPad doesn't have the same problem on there the T of C displays fine.

So I think I found a work-around. Open the Advanced menu and change the font in there, at least it worked for my book last night. However, to get to that point I deleted the book from my Kobo and then had to perform a factory restore on the Kobo Touch and re-sync it on my computer. On the Kobo website I went in to my purchases and bookmarked the book at page 1 (that's the only page you can bookmark it at). Then I re-sync'd my KT and it worked.

I'm pretty sure this is a bug in the latest firmware version because I know I've changed the font size before without this issue.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. You could always change the font with no issue in the previous firmwares. I always have to make it slightly larger. The fonts have gone 'odd' on the IOS too. Glad you sorted your problem out, it's so satisfying to fix things, well done!

I recently had the same problem with a book returning to chapter 7 all the time instead of moving on (the preview from Kobo was the first 6 chapters so that might have had something to do with it?) and TOC wasn't working properly either.

Anyway, I deleted the book and instead of downloading directly from Kobo desktop or wifi, I reloaded it via ADE and it was fine.

I have had issues on my Android phone where I had the preview, bought the full version, updated the phone, then when I went to use the book on my phone it told me I didn't have the full version. I hardly read on my phone so not sure how long this has been going on.

One thing I also noticed today was that my percent complete stays at 1% when I shut off the Kobo Touch. Not the end of the world but annoying none-the-less.

I emailed Kobo support but have yet to hear back from them.
