Hi,

Does anyone know if the R F Delderfield book God is an Englishman is available to buy in the UK in epub format. Or if not does anyone have any idea when it will be released.

I have bought the second book in the series Theirs was the kingdom and prepurchased Give us this day which is released on the 16th August by www.booksonboard.co.uk.

Apparently Kobo had it - now shows as out of stock, but you can sign for notice when it's available.

All of Delderfield's books are gradually being released as ebooks; I'm sure this one will show up in the next few months. Rather curiously, the "Horseman Riding By" trilogy was released out of order, too.

It's worth waiting for; the ebooks have all been very well produced. Delderfield is one of my favourite authors.

You know... I really am going to have to try these books. Pick up both "To Serve Them All My Days" and "God Is an Englishman" because of price reductions and have never got around to either. Need to finish Patrick O'Brian's "Post Captain", but I think one of these will be next. Any recommendations on which to start with?

To Serve... is pretty good and even got made into a decent TV series a long time ago.

Looking at reviews on Goodreads (yeah, I know... ), it looks like "To Serve Them All My Days" looks to be the one that has the most positive reviews. I'll give it a try once I finish with the Aubrey/Maturin novel.

I remember, many years agoo now, my intro to Delderfield's work was "Horseman...", and it immediately sucked me into his world - and the sheer size, and range of the trilogy completely won me over. Then I went onto "To Serve......" which grabbed me just the same.
So I don't think it matters where you start, you'll still be hooked and read the rest !

I'd recommend To Serve Them All My Days. It stands on its own, and is very compelling. I reread it just this spring, and enjoyed it immensely. I've got God is an Englishman on my TBR, but haven't started it yet.

I actually cheated last night and started To Serve Them All My Days. Need to finish Post Captain before I can really get into it, but it's been a pretty good start.
