Using glossary at the back of a book

			Hi,

What's the best way to go from the page I am reading to the glossary at the back of the book, and then back to the page I am reading please? Thanks, Steve |

Unfortunately, there is no easy way. You're pretty much stuck with adding a bookmark for your current location (press the upper-right corner of the screen) and then navigating to the chapter that contains the glossary, then using your bookmark to get back to where you were (press the dogear/triangle in the upper-right corner to delete the bookmark).

Probably a basic question, but how do I navigate to the chapter that contains the glossary?

By bringing up the table of contents (an option under the icon that looks like an open book when you center-tap the book you're reading). Assuming your book is formatted well enough to have one, anyways (sadly, some quick-and-dirty conversions to ePub don't bother).

Thanks for that, unfortunately my ebook must be a quick-and-dirty conversion as the contents are not selectable.

The other option is to make a bookmark on the 1st page of the glossary and label it as such. You can bookmark multiple pages. Not a perfect solutions since it will take a number of taps to get there,

Is there a "goto" page number at all? The book I'm reading has got over 900 pages and the glossary is at the back, of course.

	Thanks, Steve |

Wow, clicked on the double headed arrow and the Kobo just rebooted itself to the home screen.

Must be the conversion as using it on another book worked OK, tried the double headed arrow three times now an each time it reboots the Kobo. Book is Robert Jordan's "The Gathering Storm" from Waterstones. Last edited by Chocky; 08-04-2012 at 06:23 AM. |
