Best way to modify files on the device after transfer?
I'm currently trying to write a plugin for Calibre that gets triggered after the user has uploaded or updated files to the device. I will also need the paths of the newly uploaded or updated files, what plugin type would be best suited for that?

There is no plugin type for that. You need to write your own device plugin to replace the builtin plugin for your device.
