Anyone ever considered a kindle port of Calibre's reader?
Hi! I'm an owner of a recently-jailbroken Amazon Kindle3, and I was just wondering--there are a couple alternate reader programs out there available for the Kindle (Duokan, fbKindle and CoolReader 3, to my knowledge), that are all capable of reading a wider range of formats than Amazon by default.
But in my experience, none of these are nearly as nice or feature-rich as Calibre's built-in reader, especially for more exotic ePub features like embedded fonts and smallcaps (the latter being quite essential for Discworld books!) I understand something like this wouldn't exactly be trivial, but has anyone ever looked at making the ebook-reader component of Calibre run on qtKindle? |

I seriously doubt that it could be done in the minuscule amount of RAM that the Kindle has.
