I like this new addition, it looks much better than the up/down scrolling, thanks.

Is this a prelude to proper looking page turns maybe ?

What, pray tell, are you referring to? Best I can tell there is no such thing as "proper looking page turns."

All page turns are proper as long as they show all the text.

My preferences are not your preferences. So please don't declare me improper

Perhaps I am using the wrong word.

By "proper" I mean visually realistic, the sort of page turns you get on an iPod where the page looks like it turns from right to left or left to right.

I do hope I have explained myself to your satisfaction...

I knew what you meant, I just find it interesting that someone would deem a graphic representation of a page turning in a paper book to be "proper" for a ereader or computer.

I know what you mean. Animation of page turns is the first thing I turn off if I can. However some people DO like it

The problem is going to be to find a developer who likes it enough to invest the time and effort into developing such a capability.

It's actually more than just an "animation" on iBooks on the iPad - if you want to remind yourself what was on the previous page, you can drag the page corner and the page partially turns back on itself, so you can see both the current page and a portion of the previous page, and that can be very useful.

But I see no need for it in Calibre.
