books bought from Amazon

Hi all,

I use Calibre to organize my books that I've side loaded, but for the books that I buy from Amazon, they show in the Author panel as Last Name, First Name and I have all my other books organized by First Name, Last Name... so they're like orphans away from all their brothers and sisters...

These books don't appear in Calibre so where can I find them on the Kindle to either load them into Calibre and rearrange their sorting pattern, or is there another way aside from Calibre to do this?

I use Kindle for PC to get books into Calibre. Install K4PC, and it will attach to your Amazon account. Then right click the books in the archive, and download them. They will be in a directory called "My Kindle Content", in the my documents directory. Then you can easily import them into Calibre with add books.

Another option if you don't want to download Kindle 4PC is to download them directly from your Amazon account.
Login to your account and go to Manage Your Kindle (choose this option from the dropdown menu under Your Account on the right hand side).
Look for the book you want to download from your purchases and choose Download and transfer via USB from the actions menu. Once the book is dowloaded you can add it to Calibre using the Add button.
