File attachment
Hello fellow readers,
I've been using calibre for quite a while now. I'm a developer and as such I read a lot of programming books. I would like to know if there is any option to attach files to an ebook on calibre, for example, zip files containing code snippets, or source code files such .c or .cpp? I have a lot of ebooks that come with a companion CD with files, and I would love to, for example, download some of those files while downloading a book on my Kindle Fire from the content server. I must apologize if this has been asked before, but a quick search through the forum didn't yield any result. Thanks in advance. vasc0x |

One way is to rar all extra files then open the the edit metadata window and drag the compressed file to the available formats area. The library will effectively treat the added rar file as another book format type and store the files in the same folder as the main book. This will ensure the extra files won't get lost during normal library moves, metadata updates or library maintenance.
