Calibre won't run
After installing Calibre I try to run it and screen comes up --
Python function terminated unexpectedly ( 5, 'Create File', 'Access is denied.') (Error Code 1) -- I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no effect. After uninstalling the folder Calibre2 has gone. I am running Windows7 and MS Office with Firefox and NOD32 AV. ![]() I love books and would really like to have this program. |

That indicates your computer is not allowing calibre to lock a config file, probably because the permissions on the config directory are wrong. Look for the file global.py on your computer and fix the permissions of the folder that contains it. or set the CALIBRE_CONFIG_DIRECTORY environment variable to some directory with correct permissions and reboot your computer.
