FULL DISCLOSURE: I had actually already bought this ebook (haven't read it yet), as the writer is a personal friend of mine and I learned of this promotion via his facebook feed. His first book, The Master of Verona, was originally published by St. Martin's Press in 2007, and received positive reviews and got great blurbs from other historical writers such as C.W. Gornter and Peter Tremayne. It was one of my favorite books that I read that year.

Blixt is a huge fan of Colleen McCullough's Masters of Rome series and Bernard Cornwell's Sharpe books, and if you like either of those I would expect you'd enjoy this. Blixt writes action especially well, as he also works as a professional fight choreographer.
