Here is something that seems interesting. An early Victorian murder mystery set in Edinburgh by a resident author. Self-published but sample reads well. Only a couple of reviews. It seems most of her titles aren't ebooked yet.

Hey, thanks! I almost missed this one. I've seen her recommended on the UK forums - believe some of her previous books were trad-pubbed. I also have her "Green Grow the Rushes."

If you want to brave another self pubber, we have Death Notice by Alicia Dean. It's a cozy mystery that has generally good reviews. Sample was average.
