Calibre2OPDS Date issues

Our book club has been in existence for 14 years. I use the "Date field" in Calibre as the date of the club meeting. As I see it, the only thing the Date field is used for is in the C2O "Recent Additions" catalog which gives Previous 2 months, Previous 6 Months, Previous Year, More than one Year, categories, which have respectively 1, 2, 3, 88, books. Obviously this is not a reasonable partitioning, but I can't figure out how to change it. But the 88 books in "More than one Year" category appear with a heading like "17/10 - <booktitle>" for the 17th of October of one of the 13 years! Which year? I also can't figure out how to tell C2O to use "DD/MM/YYYY-<booktitle>" which would allow us to figure out the date of the meeting we discussed that book.

I did record each book as a sequential volume in the same series, so the "Series" catalog gives a listing of the books in the chronological sequence and numbered consecutively (thanks to the automatic increment feature of Calibre).

I am sure I am overlooking something simple, bc this is such an obvious need, so others must have filled it somehow. I look forward to solutions.

You are using the Date field in a way that was not anticipated! The only way to change the ranges would be to change the source code (where they are held as an array of values).

Regarding adding the year to the date - that should be easy enough. I will check out where seems most appropriate. The year has not really been an issue for those who are actually using the Recent Books sub-catalog in the way we anticpated as most people are only interested in the most recent ones when the year would not be relevant.
