Rebate Promotions?

Are there still rebate promotions where you can turn in your old eReaders for credit towards new ones? I admit I've been lusting after the Nook Glowlight for the last two weeks, and I've got a Pocketbook 360, a Nook Classic, and a Nook Color sitting around gathering moss. I could go to all the trouble to sell and ship each of them, but I kind of remember that some stores were offering credit-to-upgrade situations.

I called B&N but after being on hold for 40 minutes, they told me they had no idea what I was talking about. I remember that being a thing, though!

I think ebay/craigslist is a great way to offset the cost of new reader?

I may get ye to the swapery, just as soon as I can dig out a camera that can take a better picture than my smartphone. I was hoping the "lazy busslerd" option was still available.

How irksome that the B&N people didn't know what I was talking about. Was December 2011 THAT long ago???

When the holiday season rolled around and Sony has the T1 on sale, they also had the reader trade in offer. That is how I got rid of an old 500 and got $50 for it.
