I just learned one of my poems "Silent Spirit" has been selected for the premier edition of James Gunn's Ad Astra along with an invitation to read the poem at the John W. Campbell Conference in July.

Thanks orlok. I am certainly considering it. The reading would be kind of preliminary part of the conference. I've not been to that conference, but have friends who have and it's definitely one of the better small conferences. And it's even relatively nearby. Bonus!

I tend to be that way as well, but I did do a poetry reading at The Colorado Book Festival a few years back. That was my first public reading. It went well.

The Conference has some interesting authors, panels, workshops. That would be more the reason to attend for me, but certainly it can't hurt to get the word out a bit on my work as well.
