Free (Amazon) Assorted Titles May 24th listed separately
ATDrake covered most of the noteworthy items today so there may not be much for me to post. I still haven't gone through all 571 free titles added today. May highlight some self-published works. Starting with this one:
ABANDON : STORIES by Ken Brosky. Horror/Sci-fi. Seven short stories that were previously published in magazines or some such. http://www.amazon.com/Abandon-Storie...7874229&sr=1-1 Quote:

The Grimoire: Lichgates by S. M. Boyce. YA epic fantasy. The first in a trilogy. Claims to be published by Delphi and/or Pilium. Many positive reviews but sampling is suggested.

Moonlight Falls by Vincent Zandri. Amazon's bad boy offers his 2009 RJ Buckley published mystery. Naturally, reviews are above average. Whether he has talent or not I'll leave for you to decide. http://www.amazon.com/Moonlight-Fall...7875738&sr=1-1 Quote:

Crime Factory: The First Shift by Keith Rawson (Author, Editor), Cameron Ashley (Editor), Jimmy Callaway (Editor). Here's something different. New Pulp Press' crime short story anthology. May interest some. The usual all 5-stars warning applies.

#1 rated free title today. I didn't bother sampling. Not my thing even if readable.

Zandri's not necessarily a sockpuppeteer when it comes to the reviews.
But he is a spamming spammer who used to spam* a lot on the Amazon discussion boards before the self-promoting authors all got sent to the cornfield banished to the specially quarantined self-promo area which they keep trying to sneak out of. * He'd get his family, or at least usernames with sufficiently exactly the same last name to qualify as family, to spam for him, too. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it before as why I personally don't bother with his books even though he's some Dell-published formerly acclaimed writer or somesuch. ETA: The Conroy Hemingway book looks kind of interesting and the sample seems to read fairly decently. Thanks for finding it. |
