Troubleshooting Kindle 3 - Not loading new books...

Hi all - I searched a bit through the forums and couldn't find anything to help, but if this has been addressed I apologize.

I have a Kindle 3 that I got just over a year ago. I never had any problems until a month or so ago, when I realized that new books I loaded onto the Kindle (usually through Calibre) were not showing up at all, even after searching. In order to see the books I've downloaded, I usually have to restart at least twice. Does anyone know if there's anything I can do to fix this?

A Factory Reset will probably help. This will remove all of the books on your Kindle, and return all options to factory defaults.

I've no idea if there is any kind of known issue, but if you don't store all your books on your Kindle, I'd try deleting everything any books on it, do a hard reset (press and hold power for 15-20 seconds) and then try loading your books on again (in small batches to let them index between adding more).

Edited to add: if that doesn't work then you could try the factory reset, but I wouldn't do that straight away.
