Amazon could work out a deal with Google Mail to provide a customized email experience for Kindle users. I know http://m.gmail.com works, but I'd really like to see a http://kindle.gmail.com site that is specially tailored to the Kindle, and its limited browser capabilities.
Just think: Not only would we have the best e-book reader out there, but we'd have a pretty usable email client over a high speed wireless (EVDO) system. Gino. |

There would be an airwave cost associated. Who would pick up that tab?

Maybe Amazon and Google could work out a split on the text ads.

Actually kindle connects periodically to check your emails from amazon and other stuff like updates, twitter...
Why they should make a deal with google mail if they provide you excellent support for your amazon email? Only it costs you for whispernet transfer ... |

Are we talking about Kindle 3? It loads full GMail perfectly (landscape mode). It also loads it very well in basic HTML mode. And mobile version works too...
