intempo DM102003 - white/garbled screen - help in recovering device

Hi Guys,

I got a job lot of e book readers and this intempo DM102003 was part of it.

I have left it plugged into mini usb overnight and on pressing the power button the screen came on but showing horizontal patterns across the screen which after a few minutes started to fade to white.

This looks like it has a colour LCD screen and it is fine - not cracked.



When you try to power it on 3 black squares appear and nothing else happens - see picture.

When you press the reset button, the screen flashes black, then goes white and the 3 black squares appear and nothing else happens it sits there like that.

Can this be saved and bought back to life?

Any help appreciated.
