FROM Kobo TO calibre library???

I'm Tina. Recently found calibre and like a lot of its features. New to it and my dilemma is this...I would like to take books FROM my Kobo TO my calibre library. From the video tutorial, it looks like I should be able to just drag and drop, BUT...when I do it, the result is gobbledegook that calibre can't read! Anybody know what I could be doing wrong?? Please help! |

If the books are in kEpub format (ie downloaded via Kobo Desktop or WiFi) , you can NOT use these in Calibre.
The only books you can drag from the Kobo back are those in ePub format (ie downloaded via Adobe Digital Edition). |

I tried it with an epub book but I get error message, "is not a zip file"; I can't figure out what I"m doing wrong. It won't convert either.
