Spam as MobileRead private message

I just got a private message which was spam - it consisted only of a link to a website selling kitchens.

How can I report this to a moderator?

Edit: I've just noticed that badutali has had the gall to post in this forum, so I expect the moderator will find it anyway.

Use the "report private message" facility - the "!" button above the message.

The UK Sony "forum" has a spamstupid attack every now and then, just idiots posting gobbldeygook, that's all, but I'm not aware of any PMs being hacked - that's mildly/very anoyingly bothersome.

There's no "hacking" going on - just spammers using the PM facility. It happens from tim to time; we ban the idiots. Nothing to get wound up about.

MR is actually blissfully free from spammers, bots and others of that ilk. Kudos to the moderators for that.

MR takes them down as soon as they are reported. And sometimes faster than that.

Aproximately 8,000 spamming accounts have been banned in Mobileread's history so far.

And as I already sted; Kudos to moderators for those efforts. The likelihood that I will not be forcefed spam here is one of the joys of visiting.

Spam messages via PMs here don't bother me. When I see the notification of a new PM, I immediately know it's spam, because no one else ever PMs me.

Please do report any spam PMs using the [!] in the top right of the message.

I'd agree with that. I have reported spam in the past and it disappears immediately - often I think my reporting it was probably unnecessary.
