B&N get Microsoft investment
Don't know if this was posted elsewhere but Microsoft is putting big bucks into B&N and the Nook.

Yep, the Zune has it's followers but adding Nook books is not going to save them.

Download "Nook for PC" from the B&N website and install it. It should sync up with your Nook book account automatically and your book will be on your PC.
(This seems like a question completely unrelated to the subject of the thread, by the way. Maybe you should start a new thread if you want additional answers, although I think i have answered it). |

If you didn't buy the epub from B&N, but it's just a file on your Nook, copy the file from the Nook to the PC by connecting the Nook via USB and then using Windows Explorer to do the copy. Then open the epub on the PC using Calibre or the Firefox epub plugin or Adobe Digital Editions or another epub viewer.

I'm having the same reaction I had when AOL bought Time Warner: "Huh?"
This is one of those business deals that just baffles me. Okay, B&N needs money, so they made some kind of deal with Microsoft. But what does Microsoft get out of it, and why do they want whatever "it" is? It's almost as if they were passing by a yard sale, saw something shiny, and bought it on a whim. Now they're stuck with it. I could be entirely wrong, of course. Maybe Something Wonderful will happen. |
