Bauhn is Aldi's own brand, so probably a cheap re-branded TFT reader - Where did you see the advert?

Is it a re-brand or just an Asian knockoff?

Someone I know got one. No report yet.

Wow, at first I thought this was at Aldi here in the states. Aldi is a grocery store chain.

Probably the same one - it's originally German. It is primarily a grocery store, but every few days, they get in a new stock of (mainly) non-grocery 'Special Buys' that are advertised on their website and in the in-store magazines. Doesn't seem to be on the US one either: http://aldi.us/index_ENU_HTML.htm

It's the same Aldi, it's a German discount supermarket chain that also has stores in many other countries, including the US and Australia. Mostly their non-grocery special buys are clothes and household goods, but they do have electronic items sometimes, they have everything from computers to power tools, golf, fishing, running & cycling kit to plumbers tools!

I got one. The battery life is pathetic. The font compares very badly to eink.

If you don't have a reader save your money and put it towards a quality reader.

I got mine mainly to use for photos but haven't organised it yet.

Brauhn e reader

Thanks to everyone who contributed remarks to this thread. I decided not to go ahead with the purchase as I really like to research anything I want to buy and the lack of real info on this made me wary. I sincerely appreciate the time you have taken to reply. I can only hope that Kindle may someday read epub as the majority of my large ebook library is in this format but I do use Calibre and can convert almost everything. Kind regards. Berni
