Greetings from a noob Iliad owner

Hello everybody,

I have been reading this forum for a while without posting, but now that I have ordered an Iliad from Dymocks, I thought I'd better join in and say hi.

Like others, I have been watching and waiting for the ebook reader market to reach Australia, and now that it has; convenience, more than anything else, has landed an Iliad at my door. I am speaking a bit prematurely, since it hasn't arrived yet (to Perth), but I'm optimistic.

Look forward to reading some more and contributing,

Thanks for the welcome.

My Iliad arrived today, but I am at work, so won't be able to use it properly until tonight.
One thing that endeared me to it is the development community. I am keen to experiment with it beyond its factory preset software, but that won't be until I've sussed out what its limitations are and the best way to go about installing new things AND reverting back to factory presets!
Anyway, I'll make sure I let you know how it goes.

I also got mine last week! It is a great device, and I expect more enhancements to be made in the future.
