Author Sorting

If this question has been asked already I’m sorry to ask again but I could not find the answer anywhere.

In my Calibre Library (ver 0.8.46) I have some 80 authors listed and adding more. The list is getting to the point I feel is unmanageable. I would like under the “Authors” heading to have just a sub-heading of “A”, “B” etc. then under “A” would be all the authors with the last name starting with “A” then carry on for the rest of the alphabetic.

I have looked all through Calibre and could find out to accomplice this and looked at FAQ and found nothing, I should be able to do this but how? I’m fairly new to Calibre so could somebody explain how to do this or point me in the right direction for a tutorial that explains how to do it.

The Tag Browser has that option for Authors.
