Free or inexpensive spanish language books for new readers
My kid is a first year spanish student and I'm looking for some easy reading for him. Any suggestions?

Old Man and the Sea is available out there in Spanish. I lined up the Spanish and English versions on my laptop and used the English as a reference when I was confused. The language is so simple that I found it fairly easy to make my way through it. (And believe me, I am no genius of the Spanish language.)

I see that Amazon have now launched a Spanish-language Kindle Store in the US; perhaps that would be of some use.
