GooglePlay market cannot install Amazon's Kindle on PRS-T1
Hello
I installed google play on rooted PRS-T1 (minimal western set) I have tried to download the Amazon's kindle applet with the GooglePlay Android market (from the device or from my PC logging in my google account and then "send to PRS-T1" option) After this I can see on the PRS-T1 downloading the Amazon's Kindle applet starting and when it reached 100% at the end an error message pop-up saying "download error" (even if I think more an install error) 1) I have followed these instructions but no way to download the Kindle's applet but does not work with the Amazon's applet https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/PRST...s#Android_Apps https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/PRST...rket_Procedure I was thinking the Amazon's Kindle .apk is not compatible with the PRS-T1 but I know people using it. DO you know the reason why with the market is not possible to succesfully install the last Amazon Kindle's apk? thanks in advance |

You have to install Apps2SD http://translate.google.com/translat...hp%3Ft%3D22502
be very careful, it's all beta. Screenshots: http://www.the-ebook.org/forum/viewt...=877635#877635 |

SOrry I did not really understood the point... Are you suggesting me to use Apps2SD move applet to SD to safe space? I do not have a problem of free space (i removed a lot o applet I have now more than 30Mb more thansufficient to install the KindleAmazon of 8 Mb). My problem is that the market does not want to installe the kindle applet on my PRS-T1 rooted. Maybe is because I have rooted witht e minimal set the device with the last Sony's firmware (I do not know how to return to older firmware in this case) thx for explainations. |

Translation of the beginning of the post with the screenshots http://www.the-ebook.org/forum/viewt...=877635#877635:
"I've installed the latest Kindle (3.4.2.4) and a fairly fresh Nook (3.0.1.10) Both applications are very large and both support Apps2SD (wouldn't fit without it for sure)". You can ask rupor any quiestions here for example ) : https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...20#post2006220 |

And I can install the .apk manually. no issue. my issue is when i want install via googleplay sometimes work, sometimes not! for instance with Kindle applet I never managed to install via the market. The problem seems googleplay market performs some final checks after it finalized the download of the kindle applet before installing into the sony reader and for whatever reason this fail. If I download the kindle apk separately out of the market and I install into the reader ( send to sd card, double click on the .apk) it works! but naturally as I did not installed from the market it is not really The best. did you manage to make googleplay working with kindle applet into your reader? |
