Can recipes be set to automatically retry if they fail on 1st attempt?
I've been having a periodic problem with my Wall Street Journal recipe.
About 50% of the time (for me), the news download won't work (the error message will say that the login failed). When I manually retry, the recipe will work just fine. It would be great if there were a feature where Calibre would retry downloads a specified # of times if they fail on the first attempt. More detail: Occasionally when I click on a WSJ link from an external site (like Twitter), I will be sent to a WSJ error page that reads, in part "This feature is temporarily unavailable as we upgrade our systems. We appreciate your patience." If I click a link a second time (after seeing that page), the link will work. I think this is what's jamming up the recipe download... In any case, hoping there's a way to automate recipe download "retries"! Thanks! |

You can modify the recipe to do that. But since the WSJ servers appear to be having problems just wait, they should be fixed eventually.
