I have a question When I buy the fire as a gift for someone will that person's name be on it? as in on the fire?

I bought a Kindle Fire as a gift for my son from Amazon and we had to deregister the Fire from my Amazon account and register it to his. Obviously this won't apply if you buy it from say Best Buy. Here's some info:

If you check off gift when purchasing the Fire, it will not be registered to your account.

As sirmaru says. If you want to gift a Fire to somebody be sure to identify as a gift at the checkout. Otherwise your one-click payment could be used on that Fire.

I almost had that happen.. I let someone see my kindle keyboard and they almost ended up buying a book instead of getting the sample.
